Sometimes I wish our Founding Fathers had written every single law out in excruciating detail that was impossible to argue or misinterpret. But then again, back then most people actually had common sense and didn't need "do not eat" instructions on packets of laundry detergent. I don't think they could have ever fathomed how dumb future generations would become.

@TheDamaniFelder They had the insight to know things weren't perfect. They wrote a framework that gave the country flexibility to adapt. Slavery was legal until abolished, FDR was president for multiple terms, now it's limited to 2. If every law was written in detail you'd end up like Europe

Airports need to charge for wheelchair use. In a high-trust society, services like this can be provided as a courtesy. But we do not live in a high-trust society anymore.
