Additional freezing rain is expected today. We HOPE BEYOND HOPE that a some of us will get above 32º today. This would help to shed some ice from trees and lines, but it's not going to be the case for everyone. Please stay off the roads and away from trees if you can help it. 100k+ without power in Davidson county. A few thousand without power in Williamson.

@wyshynski He was hired as an interim assistant with no NHL experience and led some of the worst defenses in modern history. So, yeah, this was long overdue.

Sense I get is that CBJ fans are much more about assistant coach Steve McCarthy getting canned than Dean Evason, in my cursory glance at reactions.

And maybe the problem isn't Evason specifically. But, at the very least, they need some experienced assistants that know how to develop players and coach positions.

I'm not sure how you look at this team and come to the conclusion that coaching isn't the problem:
- This team doesn't have an identity
- Young players are under producing and their development has stagnated (other than Mateychuk)
- They continue to struggle with the same issues with blown leads an inconsistent play from period to period
- Defense continues to be a problem for ALL skaters
There are some holes in the lineup and maybe there are some other personnel problems, but it certainly feels like this team is less than the sum of its parts. #CBJ

Article coming out about this, but in my deep dive to find what has been costing the #CBJ games, I saw something alarming. Dante Fabbro and Jake Christiansen are 9th to last and DEAD LAST in the NHL (D-men, min. 200 GP) in Goals for % while on the ice. They are -21 combined.
