This insurance levy reduction will benefit around 2.3m motor insurance policies & 1.3m home insurance policies on renewal in January. It will reduce the level of motor insurance contributions by around €57m next year. This will have a positive impact on the cost of insurance

The officers believed €340,000 in the cash bundles was proceeds of crime and that the pair were taking it out of the jurisdiction.
