@nicksanta @Airbnb And I think guest stability can be achieved without the need of increasing punishments, or implementing an archaic guilty until proven innocent model. It’s insulting to all parties. If this was about guest stability then there’s no need for Airbnb to financially benefit.

As a long time AirBNB Superhost, who’s never cancelled a booking unavoidably, the new host cancellation policy makes be consider shutting down the service outright. It’s a money grab and a massive overreach, shame on you @Airbnb!

@nicksanta @Airbnb Those who would exploit others for financial gain will continue to do so regardless of this policy, this will only hurt legitimate hosts, and will only benefit Airbnb.

@nicksanta @Airbnb If a hosts has a pattern of canceling last minute, or poor performance, then they should be dealt with individually. But to put this on all hosts is not about fairness, it’s about increasing AirBNBs profits.

@kristen_pol I currently do serverless Druxt Decoupled builds on Netlify, cheap (free mostly) and easy.

If you needed cheap hosting for a static site, what would you use? How about for a Drupal site?

But as you say, an online experience can shine. Not having a solution is the best motivation, there's no point solving an issue that already has a solution.

While an online experience could shine, in my 15+ years of remote work experience I did not see a good hybrid solution yet. 🤞the pandemic helped people figure this out. How?

After two years of embracing remote conferences, both @DrupalCon and @decoupleddays have gone back to in person only. Will there still be options for the international community, or are we to be left behind? #frustrated

@kristen_pol @gaborhojtsy @drupalcon @decoupleddays Mixed reality interaction doesn't necessarily mean cameras, and to some they are a great source of anxiety. More important is the second screen experience, the ability for the community, virtual and physical, to both watch and react/interact together.

@gaborhojtsy @Decipher @drupalcon @decoupleddays Seems like more engagement is possible but I don’t have ideas atm. Otherwise than perhaps webcams at certain places were in-person vs remote attendees could interact within the space. I saw this at Stanford in one building.

The conference is not the presentations. It's the coming together of the community, the interactions and discussions; the shared experience.
