On a serious note, what South Africa needs to deal with is corrupt border officials, but more importantly the root cause of illegal crossings, which includes economic collapse in neighbouring countries, weak governance, and the failure to create opportunities for citizens at home in countries like Zimbabwe.

During the VBS saga, despite no arrests, questioning, or implication of its leadership, the EFF was deliberately painted as looters, a clear example of how narratives can be manufactured to discredit a political movement.
As correctly identified in the 2019 Discussion Documents ahead of the 2nd National People’s Assembly, there has been a sustained propaganda war against the EFF, aimed at undermining its ideas, programmes, and leadership.
That is why the call to build and aggressively use alternative media platforms was not just strategic, but necessary.
Today’s attempt by General Mkhwanazi to loosely link General Khan to President Julius Malema, without full disclosure that he himself initiated contact, mirrors that same pattern of selective framing.
The response from the EFF’s online machinery shows that the movement has indeed built the capacity it envisioned: to challenge, correct, and defeat distorted narratives in real time.
When we say “we are the media now” it is precisely this ability to confront and dismantle misinformation, whether from mainstream platforms or political actors, that defines it.

The CIC Julius Malema has just exposed the game being played by General Mkhwanazi and the Madlanga Commission. It’s not about finding the truth; it’s about selective use of information to fight political battles.
1. Mkhwanazi failed to clarify that the CIC did not arrange the meeting with Sibiya.
2. The Madlanga Commission didn't even bother to verify the alleged involvement, they just let the misleading narrative fly.
3. This is the same General who "buried" the explosive details in Paragraph 11 of Jermaine Prim’s letter while acting like a hero for exposing minor rivals.
We are burying the selective justice you are applauding and demanding full, non selective accountability. If the evidence is used as a weapon instead of a tool for justice, then the entire process is compromised. 🚮🇿🇦
