Another great flop (early sit down & exaggerated contact) example and our crew does a great job of laying off the play. Build your recall/toolbox with these types of plays. Discuss them with your crew. This will bring consistency to your game.

Concentrate on the theatrical and exaggeration by the shooter. This is a flop...

C/S needs to hustle to starting point. He only sees the end of the play. This is another great example of a defender ejecting early. Aka... FLOP.

Here is a better flop example. The defender is on here heels & sits down to early. We compound the play by rewarding the defender w/ an offensive foul... IC As the L get wider for better vantage point.

Let's go! According to various people, NFHS-CBOA-CIF??? (Don't know CBOA or CIF) have assessed this as a "FLOP". We 100% disagree. This is a blocking foul by the defender. Here are the "DECISION POINTS": Our L is jogging instead of hustling to a stationary position. The defender is not in LGP. He does not beat him to the position on the floor. Knee to knee contact Fall was not exaggerated or theatrical 2 players hit the floor Protect Airborne shooter 2-person game, Trail is in backcourt

Defender's Right arm is not vertical. This is a shooting foul.

The post players starts his dribble with a 2 foot hop. This is a traveling violation.

Does the extra thrust at the end by the screener make this an illegal screen?

Lead starts his rotation too wide. Should be in close down. This is why he's late to a stationary position. The call is a good layoff by the crew. This a flop/ early sit down.

This contact affects the RSBQ of the dribbler and it should be called.

The Trail would be better served to be "sideline oriented" so he ends up in a dependable position at the POC.

Concentrate on the L arm of the defender. It is not vertical and this should have been a shooting foul.

Concentrate on the R pivot foot of the dribbler... do we have an axis traveling violation?

Does the defender sit down early and flop or do we actually have an offensive foul? Does it meet your check list?

@gobrowns20201 Nothing was done by any official on the court. Apparently, this coach has a lot of power over officials. There's probably no admin support of the officials if they do their job! Anyone else have this issue? Pls let us know!

Keep an eye on the head coach on the floor yelling at the official across the court. Why do we permit this type of behavior? Should the closest official be a good partner and manage the situation? Good discussion question..
