While it’s important to know what should go in your recycling bin, it’s more important to know what SHOULD NOT go in your bin and what will cause problems in our recycling facility. This fun video highlights those items on the NO list: youtu.be/EHprEakTi5c

Lithium-ion batteries cause fires and don’t belong in your bin! While these batteries are great for their high energy, they wreak havoc for the waste & recycling industry because when damaged, they can cause fires. youtu.be/edf8EJ7CKMg

Dem-Con processes 15,000-20,000 tons of shingles per year. Shingles that once were landfill-bound get a new use. The processed shingles get added to asphalt mix and become part of new roads and parking lots. They can also be added to gravel roads to control rutting and dust.
