Detachment 670

OSU Wins Bedlam Warrior Day 2019! A series of competitions including tug-of-war, drill, volleyball, warrior knowledge, and flag football were fiercely executed. In the end, Det 670 came out on top, taking the title of 2019 Bedlam Warrior Day Champion!

Last week, AS100s took command for the annual “100 Takeover.” Freshman cadets led GMC and POC through a series of group leadership problems that examine and build key leadership traits.

Congratulations to cadets Wilson and Leangpun for receiving rated careers! Cadet Wilson is slotted for Combat Systems Officer and Cadet Leangpun will begin pilot training after graduation.

Four cadets and two cadre members attended the National Character and Leadership Symposium at the USAFA in Colorado Springs, CO! They were honored to go, and represented the detachment in a positive light.

Last Thursday, the Cadet Wing formed up for the open ranks inspection at the Edmon Low Library. GMC and POC were inspected and graded on dress & appearance as well as warrior knowledge. Following this, Foxtrot Flight had more opportunities to exercise some key leadership skills.

This first third of the semester is over! POC have been training the GMC on drill and ceremonies. D&C gives cadets valuable opportunities to exercise decisiveness, confidence, and leadership.

Last week, cadets took part in group leadership problems and spent quality mentorship time with Det 670 cadre. They exercised their leadership and followership skills through constructive challenges administered by Cadet Wing leadership.

In the first week of the semester, cadets started off with an exciting “Commander’s Call”. The promotion of TSgt Jones and the senior cadets’ base assignment release made for a great start to a promising semester. Congratulations TSgt Jones and welcome back cadets!
