@indexnforgetit Sounds like a bad dealership. I did everything through email for my last car purchase. Drove there, handed them my check, signed pre-done paperwork, and drove home my new car. I was there maybe 30 mins.

Here's why Carvana is absolutely slaughtering car dealerships: I found a truck I wanted, brand new or I would have used Carvana Called the dealer and talked to a salesman whom I know btw "Hey I found this truck I want, I've already researched, don't need to test drive, I just want to buy it" Salesman: "Ok when can you come in and test drive? " Me: "I don't need to test drive, I've driven them, this is the one I want. I'm pretty busy so is there a way to just do the paperwork digitally and do you offer delivery?" Salesman: "Sorry we'll have to have you come in for that and go through our finance office" Me: "Ok, I work every day until 5. I see you're open until 7 tonight can I just come by after work and pick it up?" Salesman: "We are open until 7 but can you be here by 5?" Me: "No, I work until 5 so it would be like 530. That should be enough time right?" Salesman: "How about Thursday the same time?" Dude I'm literally trying to throw money at you and make this the easiest sale of your life

@ScottEnlow I don't know the full story, but police very rarely come out for dogs barking, they direct it to animal control. But regardless dogs getting shot happens too often.

👮‍♂️LAPD killed this lady's dog on a noise complaint call. The dog's name was Jameson, a golden doodle. The dog was no threat, but he barked at strangers. The family and the dog was celebrating the New York Knicks victory. A neighbor called in a noise complaint and the LAPD showed up and shot the dog when it barked at the officers. Police treat killing dogs like it's routine business and no big deal. That needs to change, it needs to become a big deal. I think every time an officer shoots a dog it should be investigated and scrutinized just like when a person is shot. It seems police escalate to lethal force FIRST when dealing with a dog they perceive as aggressive. It seems they never use pepper spray first, just straight to deadly force. That needs to change. This is not okay.

My opinion on the actual Iran deal (MEK infiltration of Congress aside): This may end up being an even bigger tar baby for the Trump administration than actually starting the Iranian war. This has nothing to do with capitulation accusations or JCPOA comparisons. It's that it's much more than a "what's wrong with wanting peace" thing. It all comes down to: the deal legitimizes the IRGC. That legitimacy is going to be the decisive factor for a lot of players, Israel most of all. The moment the US signs across the table from the IRGC, it's treating it as a normal government instead of what the Iranians in exile say, what Israel believed going in, what Trump himself said a few months ago. My read on why the US did it anyway: they got their interests served, wanted an official "war's over" to run on going into the midterms, and needed to buy time on the Strait of Hormuz. Fair enough on our own terms. Disaster in geopolitics. IMO, the better outcome was to refuse to legitimize any regime at all, even if that meant no deal and just holding the status quo until we figured out a real answer to Hormuz.

@JesterJum The difference is private companies are building the data centers. If government did it, it would take 20 years and cost 100X as much as it should.

So let me get this straight....it takes government 3 years to fill a pothole but they can build a billion dollar data center in like a week?
