A delegation of the @INCGoa led by @INCSGoa President @SavioDsilvaa alongwith @INCNGoa President @VirenShirodkar, @IYCGoa President @AdvArchitNaik and other office bearers met the Fisheries Minister Nilkanth Halarnkar and submitted a memorandum demanding strict action against those who allegedly secured government jobs using fake documents. Serious concerns were raised over Pravin Lone and Devanand Lone, who are accused of obtaining jobs in the Fisheries Department by submitting fake educational certificates. The Fisheries Minister has assured that action will be taken within 8 days. This is a matter of fairness and integrity and those who cheat the system must be held accountable, and justice must be delivered to deserving candidates.

The BJP government’s Transgender Persons Amendment Bill is a brazen attack on the Constitutional rights and identity of transgender people. This regressive bill: - strips transgender people of their ability to self identify, violating a Supreme Court judgement - ⁠wipes out the diverse cultural identities of communities across India - ⁠forces trans people to undergo dehumanizing examinations by a medical board - ⁠introduces criminal penalties and surveillance without safeguards The BJP government hasn’t consulted the trans community and brought a bill which stigmatises rather than protects them. The Constitution protects every Indian’s right to life, liberty, identity, and dignity. This BJP government is violating our Constitution and destroying India’s rich history of honouring transgender communities in pursuit of its narrow ideas. The Congress Party unequivocally opposes this Bill.

Election Commission is the BJP, and BJP is the Election Commission. There should be no doubt about it whatsoever. A letter was issued by the Election Commission with BJP's stamp. After much furore, the Election Commission admitted the mistake and suspended the officer involved. But then, the same Election Commission sent notices through the Kerala Police to those who had shared the letter on social media. If the mistake had been accepted, then what is the point of notices issued to all? This is clear proof of a nexus between the BJP and the LDF in Kerala. What was the BJP's seal doing inside the Election Commission’s office? Is the Election Commission now issuing documents on behalf of the BJP? Why do all such so-called “mistakes” only happen in favour of the BJP? Whenever any tampering or error has been caught in EVMs till date, why does the vote always go to the BJP? Why don’t such “mistakes” ever happen in favour of the Congress, or other opposition parties? This is not just about a stamp or a seal. This is about the trust on which our electoral democracy is built. But instead of correcting the mistakes, those who raise issues are being harassed.
