Roger Goodell asked about Florida AG asking the NFL to rescind the Rooney Rule. Goodell says that will not happen. “One thing that doesn’t change is our values. … The Rooney Rule is not a hiring mandate.” Goodell adds the mechanism helps “identify a diverse set of candidates” and clubs “hire the best talent” based on that. “That’s how we get better.”
