@glassfaker Watching Wemby last night it’s unfair to say he’s nowhere close, as he can consistently score on all three levels. Again, as I’ve said, once Wemby has both a DPOY AND MVP season, then we can actively discuss.

@EdTreisJr Wemby is young and still improving obviously but he’s nowhere close offensively to Giannis right now. Whatever gap there may be on defense it’s just as large on offense.

This is dumb. Wemby has more offensive attributes/skills, but Giannis was and largely still is an elite slasher. At his peak, G was the 3rd best two way player we have ever seen.
Wemby can shoot it better, has better touch, but he’s not Giannis in transition. Wemby needs to have both an MVP and DPOY in the same season to get into the conversation.

I'm noting with interest how there are suddenly two sides of the basketball court now that everyone is obsessed with Wemby, but when Giannis was the best defensive player in basketball AND an elite offensive player, the convo was he had no bag. OK. Interesting.

@SoloYoungBuck Who took it for granted? I certainly didn’t, as I said at his peak he was the 3rd best two way player of all time and statistically is a top 15.

@SoloYoungBuck But you have to realize that is a huge component of his value is playing both sides of the ball. We now have multiple, bigger guys in this league that can slash and score. Giannis committing to playing a true 5 role right now would go a long way.

@CJBucksinSix Wemby innately has better touch/softer hands, which is largely evidenced in his ability to consistently score at all three levels. Giannis has toyed around with that, but has never locked it fully in. But AGAIN, Wemby is not Giannis yet.

Ownership is not going to waste the entire summer into fall letting Giannis dance around, this is going to get decided sooner rather than later. A soft trade market would make this all a lot easier and inject desperately needed humility.

We are all still trying to understand what Horst is actually responsible for. Keeping Giannis is obviously a baseline revenue play and it’s understandable. Not having a robust trade market this summer could make this all quite simple.

i am referring to the doc rivers era, giannis knew that dame and khris were both gonna be gone and he liked doc rivers and APPROVED the hire he had a hand in that. and he was okay with it just to stay "competitive" now he wants to bash his teammates on media for his doings 😂😂
