One assist away from tying the Premier League's single season record. Captained Manchester United to Champions League qualification. Has the second most goals and assists in the Premier League this season. And now FWA Footballer of the Year. Bruno Fernandes 👑

@TheIdeasAddict @Onahi_ It's difficult because you want to sign 60-70% of your players from EPL. Expensive. The competing clubs don't have to sell because they have money like you. So, if Forest says Anderson is worth £125m, unless clubs don't bid and he goes on a massive strike, he won't be sold.

What exactly is happening to the movement once built around Peter Obi? In a stunning and deeply controversial announcement, a group claiming authority over the movement says the #Obidient Movement has now been dissolved, rebranded, and stripped of Obi himself, alongside his close ally Yunusa Tanko and the entire post-2023 leadership structure. Their accusation? That the movement was hijacked for “personal advantage,” “private gain,” and what they dramatically describe as “political prostitution.” The new group now calls itself the #OBEDIENT Movement, insisting it no longer has ties to Obi, the Labour Party, or any presidential candidate ahead of 2027. But this raises explosive questions. Who exactly owns a political movement born organically on the streets and online? Can a movement built around one man suddenly expel the very symbol that gave it life? Or are Nigerians witnessing something darker ' infiltration, sabotage, fragmentation… perhaps even a coordinated attempt to weaken one of the country’s most formidable opposition political bases ahead of 2027? And perhaps the biggest question of all: If the Obidient Movement itself is now at war over identity, leadership and loyalty, what does that mean for the future political relevance of Peter Obi himself?

With how poor the CB market is (particularly right footed players) we have to give Yoro a proper chance But he has to do so much more from his side
.@Erwin6_

I think Tchouameni #6 opens the door for Heaven-Yoro partnership Can carry them on set piece defending and one of the few 6s that can actually screen so they’ll be properly protected. Dalot + L.Hall opens the door for him splitting them in possession as well

BREAKING.... 2027 POLLS: OBIDIENT MOVEMENT REBRANDS, SACKS PETER OBI, YUNUSA Ahead of the 2027 general elections, the Nigerian political space came under more tension on Thursday with the immediate disbandment of the #Obidient Movement and expulsion of the presidential candidate of the Labour Party in the 2023 election, Peter Obi; one his disciples, Yunusa Tanko and all other persons appointed under the unauthorised leadership structure that emerged after the 2023 elections. Those behind the sacking premised the decision on political prostitution and its misuse for personal advantage and private gains. Consequently, the organisation has been rebranded to the #OBEDIENT Movement, to disengage it from Obi and his loyalists. Several calls, SMS and WhatsApp messages to Obi and Yunusa were not replied. Speaking at a press briefing in Abuja to unveil the organisation, the International Coordinator of the #OBEDIENT Movement, Dr Barry Avotu Johnson, clarified that it has not yet adopted any presidential candidate for 2027 and has ceased to have any dealings with Labour Party. According to him, the rebranding was necessary because after the 2023 elections, the original vision and founding ideals of the #Obidient Movement were no longer adequately represented by those who assumed control of its structure.

@TheIdeasAddict @ARISEtv Yes that tweet is even what got me reacting to this one. There's almost a case of hopelessness about Nigeria right now.

@Posimi13 @eurofootcom Carrick cannot do more than what he has done as an interim. Ok You mean win 10 out of every 14 matches? Total of 27 wins out of 38 EPL games. 81 points guaranteed excluding the odd draws. This is a premier League winning stat. This is considerably progress from Amorim.

The only thing you people keep doing and planning is to draw United back. Carrick can not do more than what he has done as an interim. Give him the job on full and we are going to witness another Ole. Right now the players are not even playing with the intensity again. How long do we keep playing and expecting counter attack. We need a tactical coach. GGMU ⚽️🛑

🏴󠁧󠁢󠁥󠁮󠁧󠁿🗣️ Wayne Rooney: "If you brought in a Luis Enrique or Thomas Tuchel and they won 10 of of their first 14 games you would say that's incredible. So, just because Michael Carrick is a young, English manager it means it's not the right place to look in a lot of people's eyes." "Michael Carrick is a clever person, he's a really good coach, and I think he can lead the team for however long he wants if he gets it right. It will be an interesting summer. For the first time in a long time Manchester United seem like they have a bit of calmness around the whole place and that's a good thing." (BBC)
