@Funk_fu749 @SaffronOlive There are other old-school Magic formats that have this rule, but Premodern specifically allows not just reprints, but also gold-border World Championship deck versions of cards in their tournaments. A lot of people do really like using only the older printings, though!

@SaffronOlive Mostly bc premodern is supposed to only allow printings from during that time.

This is the perfect example of how collectability should work in Magic. You can pay $45 to get the Meddling Mage rookie card, or $1 to get the Alara Reborn reprint to play with.

@SaffronOlive This is legal in Pauper EDH! Any uncommon creature can be your commander. I'm a big fan of Vizkopa Guildmage: that second ability stacks, and usually kills the table in one big turn. Would be amazing to see a PDH Commander Clash!
