It is NOT 'illegal' to flags from 'street furniture'. Under the legisation it is 'unauthorised'. Unauthorised does not equate to 'illegal' in law.

Israeli forces sent direct death threats via WhatsApp to Lebanese journalist Amal al-Khalil while she was reporting in southern Lebanon, warning: “We know where you are… leave if you want to keep your head on your shoulders.” The threats were repeated and justified in a reply to a journalist inquiry by @loffredojeremy: “These are not innocent people… journalists affiliated with Hezbollah… are destined for death.” The individual followed up in a separate inquiry by @kalengoodluck alleging that his name is Gideon Gal Ben Avraham, a freelance journalist and researcher and “orientalist”, according to his YT bio.

Civil Defence crews were finally able to access the site where Leb journalist Amal Khalil was trapped under rubble but only hours later. They retrieved her body. Her newspaper Al Akbar has put out a video tribute. Lebanon’s Minister of Information condemned the incident describing the targeting of journalists as a blatant violation of international humanitarian law and calling for international action.
