It’s that time of the month. Our museum is open the 2nd Sunday of every month. 11am to 4pm. Stop in see our exhibits and displays, learn about the rich history of the DCFD.

Our Canteen Unit had another busy Sunday. Just before 1am we responded on the 2nd Alarm in the 3400 blk of 24th St., SE. Sunday afternoon we responded on the brush fire in the 4000 blk of Davidson Pl., NW.

The Friendship Fire Association offers our deepest condolences on the Line of Duty passing of Battalion Fire Chief Keith T. Long, who passed away suddenly on Wednesday, February 4, 2026.

The FFA had a busy weekend. On Friday we responded to Jay St., NE on the WFD. G St., SE on the 2nd Alarm and on Saturday the WFD on S St., NW.

On Friday night Jan. 16th our canteen unit served DCFD & MPD on a water search in the area of the Francis Scott Key bridge.

On a cold snowy morning, nothing tastes better than a cup of coffee from the canteen unit staffed by volunteers of the @FFADC. A big round of thanks to them for responding to the fire scene on Nebraska Ave NW and providing refreshments to #DCsBravest.

Yesterday we responded to the 2800 blk of Albemarle Street, NW for the working fire dispatch.

Big thanks to the volunteers of @FFADC who responded with their Canteen Unit to the fire on Albemarle St to provide refreshments to exhausted firefighters of #DCsBravest.
