Allow me to put this into perspective as an adult, because I see a lot of mixed reactions in the comments. Yes, in my opinion this is very much not appropriate to be seen in a Roblox game, and let me break it down everyone. Ranging between some points of common sense- and some points of public opinion ((Common Sense breakdown)) 1) Royale High has adult players, why is it not appropriate if the users an adult? For this one, if the user was an adult- which I don't think was even disclosed- that does not change the fact that Royale High at its core is a dress-up game. One that is filled with children and adults alike. 'Adults Play This Game Too' is not a viable argument as this game is accessible to everyone on a child-heavy platform. Using the argument of 'Adult Play Royale High Too' is not viable when entering a public server is the equivalent of stepping outside in the middle of town in real life. You, as a player are entering a PUBLIC space. Where adults and children alike will both be found/seen. As far as I am aware, Royale High does NOT have servers localized by age groups. Meaning there is a chance of a child seeing the content. It is a basic equivalent of walking out onto your neighborhood street in lingerie. Which would be a means to be charged for 'Indecent Exposure'. 2)) The character is NOT wearing a swimsuit I don't know if I need to point this out, but let's be real here. That's not a damn swimsuit and I almost can't believe a lot of people think it is. Or maybe it 'is' but it definitely doesn't five that impression. The outfit itself looks like neko/cat based lingerie. From the stockings, to the design in general, and the accessories. Some people can call it a swimsuit all they want. Either way, it does not look that way at all. 3)) Royale High's Decal System A few people were mentioning how 'if the decal was in Royale High, it must be allowed' and Personally I don't know much about Royale High's decal moderation- but there's 1 of 2 very easy explanations as to why this argument is flimsy A) Things slip past moderation all the time. it would not be surprising if this did as well. Especially if there is active moderation for the decals. B) There maybe isn't active moderation for the decals. Meaning if any inappropriate decals are seen, players are encouraged to send a video of the user so they can deal with the inappropriate content. Either way, there would be ample opportunity for something to slip through the cracks. ((Opinionated Breakdown)) 1)) Private Servers don't make it okay I know that the players on Roblox have a wide age range, but come on now. This is still a mainly child-based platform. Private servers would likely be ideal for this kind of thing- but in my opinion going out of your way to make blatantly inappropriate content in a child-centered game is kind of strange and honestly makes the individuals weird- especially if it's more drastic cases of NSFW. 2)) There is a difference between BLATANT NSFW and Risque Content. Either way it goes, both SHOULD be kept away from children. Children do not need to be exposed to either, but the difference between the two is intention and context. The image above is an example of risque. Which can often be tethered to NSFW, but since genitalia are covered it falls into that category. 3)) Royale High is a School Game. Often times people seem to forget that Royale High is a school game. By default most characters in Royale High are represented as either teachers- or teenagers. If an adult is playing this game, making characters that look teenagers or even children- dressing the character in risque clothing automatically gives the impression of predatory behavior. I am NOT saying these people are predatory, because I don't know how they are. However, in the given context of a school background and other items used- it can give the impression of indirect pining or projecting on 'estimably' non-adult characters. 4)) 'They're My OC' does not make it ok I hear this argument a lot in regards to people justifying certain things, such as having a child, teen, or child/teen presenting character in outfits of the Risque or NSFW umbrella. Especially, again, if it's in a child-dominated space like most Roblox games. The character being your characters does not change the fact that they should not have been brought into a public space to begin with- where anybody of any age can see it. All that really does signify is a lack of shame, or even relative self awareness of what is right or wrong. Yes, this DOES include if there is 'lore reasons for this presentation of said character. Especially ones that seem 'solid' or are representations of victims or hardship. For people who like to give their characters traumatic backstories, they need to have the common decency to know what literary and visual content is allowed in a space packed with minors. 5) Faces Impact Interpretation The Cherry on top of this socially disastrous pie is the character itself. Now, I know not a lot of people will take this part of the argument seriously. However, at least let me explain my point of view. The face of the character impacts a lot about the impression they give. Because when looking at a character, the face is the first thing most people see. This character's face has a general disposition of 'cutesy, kawaii/moe' anime eyes. Anime eyes that are VERY common in making character look like children- even if they're not children. The moe anime style, or face style is meant to accentuate cuteness, marketability, and otherwise appeal. This appeal also goes toward people who 'like' children. This can be viewed as the style dancing on the bridge of lolibait/lolicon. This, however, is also always impacted by other factors. Not all aspects of these styles are bad, and it's often the usage of them that gives them their worse rep. In the image above, however, this character is seen in most likely a non-swimsuit, with an otherwise visually child-like disposition. The only real 'non-condemning' part is that the body doesn't look like a child and actually gives the impression of someone who 'could be of age' but that alone does not outweigh everything else in the image. A lot of people don't think this way and just like the big anime eyes. So please don't interpret this as me saying everyone who likes the moe style is creepy. Not everyone is the same. 6) The Outfit Itself This kind of outfit is pretty common for nicher communities of 'ageplayers', e-kittens, and ERPers. If anyones confused: Ageplayer: People who dress up as children/babies and roleplay as them. There is a line between 'Roleplaying as a Child Character' and 'Ageplaying' in which ageplaying is often the gateway for fetishes (These includes 'nursing', 'diaper' and other things. Ageplayers fall under the official category of 'Paraphillic Infantalism' E-Kittens: Online Daters. Not much needs to be said, but a lot of E-kittens like to dress up scantily for their E-Boys. 50/50 for breaching risque territory. ERPers: Or otherwise 'heat' roleplayers. Stuff that places like Roblox Condo games were known for. ERP is also known as Erotic Roleplay and just because there is censory for words on roblox- don't think that stops anybody because people tiptoe around tags all the time. - - - - - All in All, here's the finishing statement. Especially if you 'Don't wanna Read Allat': No matter how you look at the character above- all roads LOGICALLY and SOCIALLY lead back to the avatar being inappropriate. Especially if you have common decency, and respect for your peers. Don't dress like this in public games. Especially if children are a majority of the fanbase. Use your head and actually think about what you're doing. because chances are, you will find something wrong with it logically. If you can't understand what these things are so wrong- do your research or stay off of the internet until you can actually learn what is acceptable in public spaces and what is not. Thank you all for reading this bullshit post, lmao. #roblox #royalehigh #rhtc #rant
