“They are forcibly demolishing our structures without any prior notice. If the NDC government wants us to venture into prostitution or robbery to survive, we hear. It’s our fault for voting for them.”
— A trader at Pankrono Atimatim Junction in the Ashanti Region laments in a video she shared showing the demolition exercise being carried out by the Assembly, asserting that no prior notice was given and threatening to vote against the NDC in 2028

At this point in time, it appears that the topic of dumsor, which refers to the intermittent power outages that have plagued the country, has faded from public discussion and concern. It seems that the explanation regarding the underlying cause, which revolved around some faulty transformers, has been confirmed, and it is encouraging to know that these transformers have since been replaced, alleviating the concerns of many citizens. However, in the political arena, the New Patriotic Party (NPP) seems to be facing significant challenges, particularly in their efforts to devise a coherent and compelling message to rally support ahead of the upcoming presidential election in 2028. It stands to reason that Bawumia, presumably the party's chosen candidate, is likely to encounter considerable difficulties as he navigates this political landscape, and it is hard to envision a scenario in which he might garner public sympathy amidst the prevailing sentiments. Moreover, it is apparent that the electorate, particularly Ghanaians, are growing increasingly skeptical and unwilling to be swayed by any deceptive narratives or promises from Bawumia and the NPP again, suggesting a shift in the electorate's expectations and a demand for genuine accountability and transparency.
