Back in 1959 my father refused to let my mother take a new drug called thalidomide. Mum was pregnant with my oldest sister. Dad was a doctor. He wasn’t admonished or investigated. He was rightly allowed to question. What has happened to the Australian medical profession?

On this “Trans Day Of Visibility” please remember that the only possible way for a man to be a woman is if he changes the definition of what a woman is.

Sporting policies should not balance 'inclusivity' with fairness. They should restrict 'inclusivity', to ensure fairness.

It is about time those of us in progressive politics owned up to our failures. ·       We argued for social justice for all and ended up arguing it should only be for a favoured few identity groups. ·       We argued for women’s rights and ended up arguing men could be women and could occupy women’s spaces. ·       We argued for same-sex marriage and ended up with saying there are no sex-based rights. ·       We argued for renewable energy and ended up allowing giant, multinational energy companies to bulldoze thousands of hectares of our precious, high biodiversity forests for wind farms. ·       We argued for free speech and ended up by practising cancel culture. ·       We argued for multiculturalism and ended up believing that criticism of the practices of a minority culture is, necessarily, racism. ·       We argued that imperialism should be combated and ended up believing only US imperialism causes authoritarianism and repression.

TRAs: “We have women’s best interests at heart, and we know that women will feel violated and insulted by a sex test.” Women: “No, we won’t.” TRAs: “Yes, you will, you nazi bigots!”

No. What hurts women more than a once in a lifetime cheek swab is 1. Being punched in the head for sport 2. Missing out on medals 3. Being gaslit 4. Being threatened into silence 5. Being told to train harder bc they’re competing against men

Another evil bigot doctor has shattered our dreams by telling my husband that he is not pregnant and just has a beer belly. We'll continue to see more doctors until we find one who will tell us what we want to hear.

Many actors did not want to appear in the Harry Potter series because they disagree with JK Rowling's views but she forced them to participate anyway by holding them at gun point. HBO has spent millions digitally erasing gun barrels and Rowling screaming threats from off camera.

Of course Moira should have pursued defamation against John Pesto. He defamed her in the most outrageous and reprehensible way. A N4zi?! Why should a mother of 4 have to live with that characterisation from the political leader of one of the 2 major parties? It was an appalling and obviously underserved slur against a woman in his own party. There is no context in which that's forgivable. He had several off-ramps and offers to settle from Moira. He didn't take them. The party didn't counsel him to take them. He cost the party dearly. And the party let him. Not Moira. Moira gave them the perfect opportunity to move past it and heal. The party has signed its own death warrant in the upcoming election.

Yesterday when changing genders, my previous gender failed to detach, leaving me double-gendered. The doctors are now going to attempt a controlled misgendering of my old gender whilst keeping my new gender affirmed by singing a medley of Sam Smith's songs.

This is spectacularly irresponsible reporting by @ObserverUK and by Phoebe Davis. If a six-year old is trying to cut off his penis, then this is a reflection of severe dysfunction within the family/broader system within which he is operating. It is a form of self-harm by a child who doesn't have the verbal skills, or sufficient neurocognitive/emotional development to communicate his distress in a more adaptive and normative way. My first guess is someone is sexually abusing him and he has no other way to express his distress. Or, it could be he is witnessing domestic violence. Or, his nan or grandad (or dog), just died. Or, he's frightened by something he saw on TV or online. Or, he is scared of going to school. Or, he is scared of peeing/using the toilet. Or, he has a urine infection or some other undiagnosed physical illness. Or, he has an abnormality of development and he is in pain. Or, (most likely), his crazy parents simply convinced him that he is a girl! The point is, there are a myriad of reasons why this is happening and this child (and his parents), should be immediately assessed; first by a doctor (to rule out physical causes); and, then by a clinical psychologist, and/or a family therapist for a comprehensive, systemic evaluation. But I can say with complete certainty as someone who has spent 30 years working in child protection, is that the underlying causes of this little boy trying to castrate himself have nothing whatsoever to do with him not being able to join the bloody Rainbows. And writing stupid, irresponsible, scaremongering stories like this and calling him a 's/her' is not helping the situation! Or him.

Some evil bigot has vandalised all of my gender studies text books by replacing every instance of the word "Gender" with "Gender Stereotype". And the worst part is, they actually make sense now.

I sneezed whilst announcing my pronouns and am now trapped between genders. Does anyone know what type of surgery this requires? A man in the pub said I need to be labotamised but I'm not sure he is qualified to give medical advice because he's not on Tik Tok.
