I honestly wasn’t sure that I’d even want it after I fixed it. The lesson it taught me is that sometimes it’s the ones that test you, that you truly value. More than cars 10x its value. No car has made me cry before but the Pajero Evolution did. BIG TIME. So I wrote about it. … I really wrote it all for you, the people who followed its frustrating journey. I wasn’t always very open about what was going on, but this should clear up why. My Pajero Evolution is finally complete 🥹 Why this livery? Because this car tells a story. Not silver. Not Passion Red. Not a familiar Ralliart design. This is about Dakar, the world's toughest race, and it doesn't get tougher than 1985. 6,390 miles. The most hostile terrain on Earth. The Ténéré Desert crossed twice. 552 teams started. Only 101 finished. The Pajero prototypes finished 1st and 2nd overall. That single result sparked three decades of dominance and 12 Dakar victories for Mitsubishi. This car proved everything. It validated the Pajero concept, forged its reputation for durability and performance, and changed the balance of power. It broke European and American dominance and announced the rise of Japanese off-road engineering. Getting this car here felt like a Dakar of its own. At times exhausting. Often unbelievable. I translated an entire workshop manual just to make it happen. This isn't just a livery. It's history.

Wild spot of the week: a 190E Berlin 2000 Special Edition Only 180 made worldwide, from 1.8 to 3.2 engines. More than just a livery and signatures… AMG reworked the suspension, honed the damping and dropped the ride height. Properly sorted. Properly rare. Can anyone beat that?
