Thanks to her #agricultural loan and technical assistance, Juana has learned how to budget, earn more profit, and care for her crops. With her income from farming, Juana has been able to invest in her home and her children: "Thanks to God and Friendship Bridge, I am happy now.”

Then María Leticia and her husband made an even more ambitious decision: to purchase a piece of land, on which they planted beans. The achievement represented a major step forward for her family’s financial stability. Now, they dream of owning more land in the future.

At first, she set a goal to save $.13 USD per day, aiming to reach $910 USD to invest in a lemon crop. The process exceeded her expectations. Once she became aware of her earnings, she was able to save between $104 to $130 USD per week, reaching her goal ahead of schedule.

From the Guatemalan community of Chicacao, María Leticia’s journey toward growth began during a Client Advisory Committee meeting—a group consisting of 85 elected clients across our branch offices, in which clients provided feedback on our programs and services.
