@GCSScotland Wow, small world indeed! Won't be long before East Hartford gets swallowed up by Cramlington if the latter keeps encroaching north.

@GCSScotland A fine blend! 💪 Me mam and dad are from near Wallsend - Byker and Walker. I grew up in Cramlington in Northumberland, but still struggle to completely follow the strong dialect of the shepherds in this video, which has similar melodies to Cumbrian. youtube.com/watch?v=qwpdQV…

@GCSScotland Yeah, understandable. Done it several times and remember Sharp Edge being really greasy when we once did it in the rain. Hadn't heard the word "slape" before! I've obviously not spent enough time in the Lakes! 😳

@5teveArcher A brilliant wee round often completed after work although we tended to have a pint in Keswick 👍 Didn’t fancy the slape rock yesterday.

@GCSScotland Those steep ridges down off Blencathra are hard on the legs! Did the classic up Sharp Edge down Halls Fell circuit on a really roasting hot day and don't think I've ever tasted anything as refreshing as the shandies we downed in the White Horse afterwards. Fantastic!

@GCSScotland More arriving too! Although I was cursing the wet snow on wet grass combination as I involuntarily glissaded down the final slopes of Creag na Caillich. Just about managed to stay on my feet! 😂 Great effort from yourself with back to back days down in the Lakes! 💪

Four from my walk over Cat Bells (busy as usual), Maiden Moor, High Spy and Castle Crag (all quiet). Cloud built during the day and it snowed for a while. An enjoyable fell day with more memories.

A beautiful Derwent Water morning so I had a leisurely start before catching the Launch to Hawes End to have a wander above Borrowdale.

Down in the Lakes for a couple of nights in the van. A walk over Latrigg this afternoon and a nostalgic wander around Keswick.

@GCSScotland From Pitlochry, Loch Tummel and Loch Tay to the Trossachs, this is, for me, the part of Scotland which is most reminiscent of the Lake District.
