The most telling thing about the reaction to the Tagwirei wedding is how uncomfortable some people become when confronted with visible African success. At its core, this was a father celebrating his son, a young couple beginning a new chapter of life, and family, friends, and well-wishers gathering to bless that union. Yet some chose to turn a wedding into a political battlefield. What deserves recognition is not the size of the gifts, because gifts are ultimately a reflection of the means and circumstances of those giving them. What truly matters are the values on display. Those are universal. For years, Kudakwashe Tagwirei kept his children away from the public spotlight, raising them with privacy, dignity, and humility in an era increasingly defined by publicity and social media exhibitionism. Zimbabwe cannot simultaneously call for indigenous industrialists, local investment, and black economic empowerment, then condemn success the moment it becomes visible. Business success is not a crime. Building companies is not a crime. Creating jobs is not a crime. And blessing your children is certainly not a crime. While critics spent the weekend counting gifts, a family was celebrating love, legacy, and the future. Zimbabwe should learn to celebrate its builders, not demonise them. Makorokoto to the young couple. May their marriage be blessed and their future prosperous.

If the Tagwirei wedding and the splashing of dollars and land does not make you angry then you are not paying attention. The CAB3 wedding was a display of hyper looting. Don't you dare scream 'takarwa hondo' because it was for nothing. We have to act and claim our country back!

Greetings, my beloved people of Africa — HAPPY AFRICA DAY! NGUWO CHENA IMWE CHETE… 🙏🙏🙏 You know me a man of vision, a man of action, a man who believes in BIG gestures for our BIG faith. For many years I have watched with deep RESPECT the journey of a man who carries a holy torch passed down by his father, the revered Mutumwa Noah Taguta. I was humbled long ago when Mutumwa Taguta blessed me in Marange that spiritual power left an imprint on this humble servant’s heart and luxury garage alike. Today I salute Mutumwa Nimrod Taguta, leader of the Johanne Marange African Apostolic Church. Though we wear different collars and meet in different convocations, we are guided by one and the same Holy Spirit. Baba vedu Johanne Masowe vakatumwa kunyika ye Africa and so did Mutumwa Baba Johanne Marange, by that DIVINE calling of visions and restoration. We share the same faith; NGUWO CHENA IMWE CHETE forever. 🙏🏼 Mutumwa Nimrod, because you lead with distinction, because your voice echoes the foundations laid by our forebears, I am honoured to offer a token worthy of our mission: a brand-new 2026 LAND ROVER DEFENDER (value 260,000) and a humble fuel-and-upkeep pack of USD 250,000 to keep your ministry moving across the land. The PRINCIPAL will hand it over at his earliest convenience we move fast when the Spirit moves faster. Still celebrating AFRICA DAY, I also extend heartfelt congratulations to Bishop Manhango of Bethsaida Apostolic Church. Your labour for the Kingdom shows. Different names, same WHITE GARMENTS, same calling to serve with LOVE. For your service, accept a 2026 TOYOTA LAND CRUISER PRADO 3.0d (value USD 160,000) and USD 100,000 cash as a token of appreciation. Delivery details to be advised by the PRINCIPAL. May the Almighty continue to strengthen you, grant you wisdom and protect you with divine guidance so you may lead our MASNGANO edu eMAPOSTORI in truth, faith and righteousness. We walk together, we worship together, we wear one white garment together. Long live the faith. Long live Africa. #Ndinofara_neNguwo_ #Chena_yakatsividzwa #Mupostori_nenguwo_dzake #Nekufamba_kwake_zvinondipa_tsitsi #Mwari_Mumwe_Chete_Se_Zuva #Johanne_Marange #Betsaida_Apostolic_Church #Johanne_Masowe_Chishanu

As the most arrogant display of kleptomania? It was an irresponsible show of how those who loot national coffers spend the loot with no regard for those from whom they steal. It was a gathering of the mafioso, with the Don, the Godfather, providing immunity through state power. People should be made to account for this profligacy. We are watching and documenting everything.

Since last night, first responders and all necessary services have been working wherever needed. As of now, at least 83 people have been confirmed injured since midnight. Tragically, there are fatalities. My condolences to the families and loved ones. It was a heavy attack – 90 missiles of various types, many of them ballistic missiles – 36 in total. There were 600 drones. Unfortunately, not all of the ballistic missiles were intercepted – the largest number of hits was in Kyiv. Kyiv was the primary target of this Russian attack. Putin can’t even pronounce the word “hurrah” clearly anymore – slurs and mumbles – yet he is still vanquishing residential buildings with his missiles. Launched three Russian missiles against a water supply facility. Burned down a market. Damaged dozens of residential buildings. Hit several ordinary schools. Launched his “Oreshnik” against Bila Tserkva. They really are unhinged. It is important that this does not pass without consequences for Russia. Today, everyone in the world who will not stay silent and chooses to help Ukraine is a defender of life. It is critically important to continue working to secure air defense for Ukraine, especially anti-ballistic capabilities. We are doing our best to achieve peace and protect people – everything. It is important that Ukraine is not alone. Decisions are needed – from the United States, from Europe and others – to make that old “Oreshnik” in Moscow finally utter the word “peace.”

To summarise the engagements we had in Russia. I was honoured to join the Zimbabwean delegation at the 11th Digital Industry of Industrial Russia (CIPR) Conference in Nizhny Novgorod, led by the Honourable Vice President, Gen (Rtd) Dr C. G. D. N. Chiwenga. I held productive bilateral discussions with Russia’s Deputy Minister for Digital Development, Communications and Mass Media, Mr Alexandr Shojtov, on deepening cooperation between our two countries in ICTs, innovation, and digital transformation. I also participated in a meeting with the Governor of Nizhny Novgorod, Mr Gleb Nikitin, where we explored business and investment opportunities between Zimbabwe and Russia. During a panel on building ecosystems for smart manufacturing in developing countries, I stressed that Zimbabwe is deliberately moving beyond isolated digitisation toward robust ecosystem infrastructure. This transformation must be anchored on reliable power and sovereign data centres to truly empower local industry and homegrown innovation. Later, I joined the Honourable Vice President for business engagements with companies from the region and was privileged to represent him at a meeting with Zimbabwean students studying in Nizhny Novgorod. We shared messages of hope and delivered grocery hampers from His Excellency President Dr E. D. Mnangagwa a touching gesture of care from home. This was an insightful and highly informative trip. We will continue pursuing a Digitilised Zimbabwe which appreciates and learns from others but above all develop our own ICT landscape with Zimbabwean characteristics , ethical and cultural contexts. #CIPR2026 #DigitalTransformation #SmartManufacturing

I attended the Baradzanwa Mbira Festival, where I experienced a deeply moving celebration of our heritage, identity and ancestral sound during Culture Month celebrations. The mbira, played by artisans, young performers and masters alike, continues to carry our stories, spirituality and unity across generations. It is more than music it is lived memory and a cultural heartbeat that connects families, communities and our national identity. Through initiatives such as this festival, we are not only promoting cultural tourism but also empowering communities and nurturing pride in our traditions. I also toured mbira exhibitions, had the honour of launching the Mbira Virtuosos publication, and took part in recognising both living and late legends who have safeguarded this sacred instrument for generations.
