It's interesting to me to see the black smoke from the base of the core catching fire (this is normal) interacts with the rs25 plume turning them orange in appearance and you can really see the shock structure and shape of them

@draymer72 @mcrs987 PIFS effect the flow characteristics forward of the base and do not become substantial until the plumes become highly underexpanded. What you're seeing here is aspirating flow in the base from the plumes causing the cork off-gassing products to combust.

@mcrs987 That was Plume Induced Flow Separation (PIFS) recirculating and it happened on Artemis I and all the shuttle flights.
