🌟 Your business page on LinkedIn should be a 24/7 talent attraction tool! 🚀 📊 77% of job seekers use social media to research prospective employers. (standout-cv.com/social-media-r…) It’s not just a place for job postings—it's an opportunity to showcase who you are as a business!

Hot take here, maybe a bit old school? Keep your profile clean! SEO content > whatever hot political take you have after a beverage on a Friday night When looking for jobs anyway. After that have at it😅

Working remote with a manager five time zones ahead? Communication is your superpower. It’s not about being glued to your laptop. It’s about making life easier for everyone else on the team. Here’s how to not be a nightmare to work with: 📝 Leave a clear update before you clock off 📅 Tell people what you’re doing and when it’ll land 📣 If something’s stuck, flag it early - don’t go radio silent 🧠 Write stuff down (Notion is great for this), because no one remembers what you said in Slack yesterday 👀 Make your work visible. Don’t just say “it’s in progress” The best remote workers don’t need chasing. They’re a safe pair of hands. Good comms = trust. And trust = less faff, more freedom.

Bring a case study. Not a pitch deck. Not a list of tools. Recruiters and hiring managers aren’t just trying to figure out what you’ve done They want to know how you think. And case studies do the heavy lifting. The good 👉 Show your wins The bad 👉 Show your lessons The ugly 👉 Show your resilience ✅ What was the challenge? ✅ What actions did you take? ✅ What changed - and how do you know it worked? It shows ownership. It shows your adaptability. And it shows you understand SEO beyond SOPs if you really get into the details At SEO.Careers, we see it all the time 😍 The candidates who walk in prepared with case studies are the quickest to receive offers. You don’t need ten ☠️ You just need at least one that’s real, genuine, and tells the story of your experience dealing with the project. P.S. talk in the first person. Interviewers aren't fussed about what your colleagues have been up to - they want to hear about "I" (You 😉)

@alexodysglobal It's about retaining those problem solvers, making them feel welcome, giving them a sense of belonging and how to best add them to your team for high retention rates - I agree though, there's a line between onboarding and hand holding!

@GSRecruitAI Most problem solvers I personally hired never needed a so called on-boarding and always straight jumped into helping where most help is needed. From experience, those who need baby sitting will require ongoing double management and they end up adding little to no value.

The biggest mistake SEO agencies make with new hires? They think the hard part ends when the offer's signed. Here’s where it goes wrong: ❌ No clear onboarding plan ❌ No structure for the first week ❌ No one actually “owns” the new hire ❌ Zero feedback till week 4 ❌ Expecting results before they understand the business You spent weeks finding them. Why risk losing them in the first month? Here’s how to keep them: ✅ Give them a proper 30-day roadmap ✅ Set clear goals for week one ✅ Assign someone they can ask awkward questions ✅ Create space for early wins ✅ Check in before things go quiet

Working from home on a Monday? Reporting to a remote manager? Managing a remote team can be VERY stressful and requires high trust! Here's how you demonstrate that the trust is well earned: ✅ Send a short check-in message in the morning “Hey! Planning to work on X, Y and Z today. Let me know if priorities shift.” 🧠 Update your task board or tracking doc Make it easy for them to see what’s moving — without having to chase 📅 Book time early if you need input Don't wait till Wednesday when everyone's drowning 📝 Keep your comms tight Clear, brief updates > long paragraphs 👀 Pro tip: Over-communicate early Remote managers don’t want to guess what you’re doing You're not there to “look busy.”You're there to get things moving. Start strong, and you’ll buy trust fast and reap the rewards of true remote, autonomous work - which can be life changing.

First impressions don’t happen just on day one. They happen throughout onboarding process. And when it’s done badly, you can feel it. 😩 The Slack invite isn’t ready. 😐 No idea who to ask for help. 🙄 Their laptop shows up late. 🥺 People not introducing themselves. And no one’s really explained what they’re supposed to be doing. Welcome to the “sink or swim” approach infamous at agencies that struggle to grow - where good hires drown quietly. Now compare that to this: 📦 Tools and access set up before day one 🧭 A roadmap for the first 30 days 🧑‍🤝‍🧑 A go-to person for questions - we used to call these "onboarding buddies" 🏁 A quick win they can deliver in week one. 😻 A full team (video-call) introduction on the morning of them joining. Same hire. Very different outcome. Give your new colleagues and future potential friends the best opportunity to excel and grow.

Back from my first proper holiday since 2023 no calls, no interviews, no CVs... just sun, English countryside, and pretending I don't want to check my emails. 🌴😅 Been a wild couple of years growing SEO.Careers and helping some brilliant teams hire serious SEO talent. Grateful for the break - but also weirdly excited to come back swinging. 🚀 If you're hiring and need a hand with SEO recruitment you know where to find us 👉 SEO.Careers
