Enjoyed presenting to the Grade 9 class at @GWGreyWolves today about scientific publishing and how to track down scientists to get papers. I talked about the work of my @CRC_CRC colleague @electrifiedshel because the students are working on battery tech for electric vehicles.

Today we bid farewell to our 1st Leader of the Pack as she took a last ride on Mr. Mission’s zamboni. Through Mrs. Choate’s leadership, we have built our amazing school literally from the ground up. Peace, Mrs. Choate! We will miss you. We wish you well on your next adventure!

For #cbespiritweek2020 our grade 8s participated in Festive Hat Day! Next up for our at-home learners is Polar Express Day on Thursday (jammies!) and Ugly Sweater Day on Friday along with the rest of the school!

Grade 6 and grade 1 buddies spent some time doing some nature play outdoors together today. Beautiful weather for some fresh air, exercise, and imagination!

Grade 4 spent time noticing and wondering about the traveling art exhibit by Halie Finney.

Yesterday Griffith Woods marked Orange Short Day. We learned about the history and impact of residential schools and how we can build a world where every child matters.

We invite all students to wear an 🧡shirt on Wednesday, September 30th in recognition of Orange Shirt Day to acknowledge the legacy of residential schools, work towards Reconciliation, & celebrate the accomplishments, resiliency, and culture of the Indigenous peoples.
