Tonight, I had the profound honor of serving as the main host of the National Veterans Gala at the iconic Mar-a-Lago, the residence of the President of the United States, Donald J. Trump. This evening was not about politics. It was about gratitude. It was about honoring the men and women whose courage, sacrifice, and unwavering commitment have secured the freedoms we enjoy every single day. I had the privilege of dining alongside the Lieutenant Governor of the State of Florida, distinguished presidents of the Navy League, decorated Purple Heart recipients, and many veterans who have worn the uniform of this great nation with honor. To sit among heroes, individuals who have paid the price for liberty, is both humbling and deeply inspiring. Their stories remind us that freedom is never free. It is earned, defended, and preserved by brave Americans who stand ready to serve, often at great personal cost. These patriots represent the very best of the United States, defined by discipline, sacrifice, loyalty, and love of country. As we gathered in unity, we reaffirmed something fundamental: America remains the beacon of freedom because of its veterans. Our responsibility is to ensure they are respected, supported, and never forgotten. Tonight was a celebration of service. A celebration of courage. A celebration of America. To every veteran out there - Thank you! We honor you! We stand with you! 🫡🦅🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🦅🫡

FREEDOM RINGS: 104-year-old World War II veteran Dominick Critelli, who fought at Normandy and in the Battle of the Bulge, wowed the crowd by performing the National Anthem on his saxophone at a New York Islanders game. Critelli, a staff sergeant who immigrated to the U.S. from Italy when he was a child, spent 151 days in combat during World War II, earning three Bronze Stars.

**BREAKING** Fitchburg Parents Who Fled to Texas with their Five Children Arrested at the Direction of DCF** A family of seven from Fitchburg, Massachusetts, moved to Texas following a conflict with the Department of Children and Families (DCF) and local police. The issue began when parents declined to vaccinate their nine-month-old, citing religious beliefs, during a pediatric visit.  NOTE– Unable to post details here. Read the full story here: bostonbroadside.com/uncategorized/… The family, who homeschools their five children, claims their pediatrician reported them to DCF despite their infant being perfectly healthy. Soon after, DCF sought a home visit, which the parents refused, asserting their rights. Overzealous Fitchburg police surrounded their home, prompting the family to leave for Texas with help from a supporter. In March, Texas authorities located them. The parents, Isael Rivera and Ruth Encarnacion, were arrested and charged with custodial kidnapping, while the children were placed in Child Protective Services custody. The family’s supporters argue this is an overreach, pointing to their religious exemption rights under Massachusetts law. Authorities have not detailed the legal basis for the arrests. The children’s current location remains unclear. DCF Leominster/Boston, Fitchburg Police, the Doctor, were all contacted but have not commented.
