@ChrisVannini Seeding has gotten smarter over the last few years as well which is leading to some of this.

This stretch comes after three straight tournaments where a 15-seed made the Sweet 16 (Oral Roberts, Saint Peter's, Princeton). We were in the golden age of upsets, and then it ended very abruptly.

For the third straight year, just one double-digit seed will make the Sweet 16 and it's a P4 team. NC State (11), Arkansas (10), Texas (11).

@wilnerhotline I think the point is more about Gonzaga being over seeded every year vs Clara having a nice performance against an average Kentucky team.

Because as anyone who knows anything about basketball will tell you, Santa Clara had absolutely no business being on the court with Kentucky yesterday.
