@GermHunterMD thought it had to do with decreasing risk of ARF way back (without RCTs)? but given low prev of the serotypes associated with ARF in most places..

@BradSpellberg @GermHunterMD We need to better understand WHY kids get arf so we can identify at risk kids. If microorganism based (or mostly) we could add to molecular diagnostics or do better surveillance.

@GermHunterMD The only thing I've ever experienced rage equivalent to COVID opinions is from pediatricians related to rheumatic fever. So tread carefully lest they turn wrath on you! LOL! Reality is RF is catastrophic and so unless we're highly confident risk won't increase, Tx probably right.

@PedsPharmD @GermHunterMD Too hard to power a trial- 1 in 1.4 million risk of arf with no tx and 16 hour symptom difference between 0 and 10 days. Not clear eradication is a good endpoint.
