Kentucky announces a clash with North Carolina next year as a part of an ACC/SEC Challenge. Tarheels are returning a solid core that made the Round of 32 in last year's NCAA Tournament. That non conference schedule continues to get more and more packed. 👀

Cards take the fourth 25-16 to take the match 3-1 in a game that looked a lot like the Spring match from last year. Cards looked strong and incredibly confident. Cats need to clean up a lot. But just like last year, lot of really good flashes of what this team could become.

Kentucky has had a TON of hitting errors tonight, odd for a team that returned so much depth from last year. Part of that is the stress that Louisville puts on you with the block, but some of these are just misses long or wide. That will be a big area of emphasis this offseason.

Because her offensive game was so strong, Eva's work in serve receive was often overlooked. Eva was an EXCELLENT passer though, especially for a six-rotation outside. Lot of people passing in areas of the court that they didn't have to do last year.

Louisville takes the third 25-10 behind some filthy service pressure from redshirt freshman Chloe Meester, who dialed up four-straight aces from behind the line. Cats going through some of the growing pains of not having Eva Hudson back there anymore.

Georgia Watson gets in on the action with her first kill of the match on the right side. Watson has been really good this Spring. Good to see her get some action.

And Tuzz being the third in that sequence is just a ridiculous trio of people to have to pass against if you’re the other team.

Kentucky takes the second 25-19 to tie the match up at one set a piece. Cats looked a lot more comfortable in that set, in large part because they cleaned the passing up. And this serving lineup is giving the Cards fits.

Asia Thigpen getting in on the action now to extend the Kentucky lead to 19-12 and Louisville will call its final timeout of the set. Thigpen up to 5 kills on a .300 clip on the left side. Settling back into her original position nicely.

Louisville calls a timeout after Brooklyn DeLeye absolutely smashes an overpass to the ten foot line followed by a Kennedy Washington stuff block in the middle to give the Cats a 15-9 lead in set two. Took a minute for Kentucky to settle in, but that offense is humming now.

After dropping the first set 15-25 behind some rust and bad passing, the Cats are cruising now, up 10-5 in the second and doing a really nice job keeping the Cards out of system.

Kentucky's announced schedule so far, JUST in the non conference: Wisconsin, Pittsburgh, UCLA, Penn State, Louisville, and likely two of Houston, Purdue, and SMU. And sites include the Bahamas, Wrigley Field, and Milwaukee. This schedule is UNREAL.

This is for volleyball! It will be in early September.
