Solksjaer is such a thoroughly useless person. Imagine flunking an interview with Carrick - your No.3 just 4 years ago who got sacked at Middlesbrough- as your main rival even after offering to work for free. The only thing in his skull is "DNA" & "the players are fantastic."

@MartienBall Now no disrespect to Michael Carrick but lets be honest, he's about as inspirational as an old sock. Couldn't have found a more boring and defensive appointment. At least OGS has a proven track record in his first two seasons and a win rate of 74% last time he was interim.

The fact that Solskjær was so desperate for the job under the excuse that he “just wants to help the club” is exactly why he isn’t getting it. United don’t need “help”. They could find 10 interim managers in a week if they wanted to. What they need is someone with character and personality and that’s why it’s going to be Carrick. He’s universally respected by everyone who’s worked with him.
