I’m a hockey casual so I’m sure my opinion is dumb and wrong but in what world does a GM get hired, and miss the playoffs 6 consecutive seasons and keep his GM job? I get he’s a Detroit legend but come on. In what other sport or scenario would that happen?

@REALDonThomas Stop it. We made 25 straight playoffs. Our rebuild was always going to be longer than average. However, now that we have the assets, it’s time to make moves this offseason. Just remember he built Tampa into who they are now

@Section344Lions It really is though. There are maybe 15 centers in the league as good or better than Larkin (and that’s being generous), and most of them are on teams that are not interested in selling them.

It shouldn’t be that hard to find a center equally as good if not better than Dylan Larkin. And to add a Top 6 winger with proven offensive ability. That’s enough to get you 100+ points, a home series & a fighting chance in the playoffs. I truly don’t get the reluctance at this point. No more excuses. We have enough prospects, assets & cap space to actually take and make the big steps. It simply just can’t be another offseason of let’s let the kids develop & add a some vet grinders.

@dougastevens @matthew_auch Dude just read the stats he ripped off for you. They dominated in every facet of the game. There was literally not a single point in that game where Michigan wasn’t the better team. We got goalied big time, exactly how team USA beat Canada.

@matthew_auch We need better goaltending. We need to be tougher and more gritty and refuse to lose when it matters most. When the same thing keeps happening over and over again over the course of 28 years, it’s foolish to not adjust and simply hope the results will change the next time.

This is probably most painful of all the Frozen Four losses for Michigan. PK 5 for 5. PP 1 for 2. Conceded just 26 SOG, put up 52. Won more faceoffs. Outchanced Denver a staggering *109-66.* They did everything they needed to do and still lost.

Had about 50 mini season packs stacked up. Ripped nothing but silvers at best. Honestly couldn’t believe it. Got a diamond jersey though :)
