My co worker and I were talking about fae lore and how I can show the audience how shadow expresses love. The fae don't say I love you or tie bonds, so Shadow never will. "The fae don't change what they are doing, they change how they are doing it..."

@alilalilali Fae Shadow doesn't appreciate manipulation. He just does for order. Manipulation is what mortals do to get their way, the fae just do. He plays tricks sure, but isn't out to gain anything.

@HayweeRC I have a character who is not fae but similar. He is interested in someone and shows his love manipulating every being around them to make that person happy. Some of the manipulated know it and can't do anything about it!! I can see Shadow doing that.

After retiring his sword and transforming it into the crown, Lancelot/shadow now wears it as an accessory upon his horns. He can manipulate how visible the crown is with magic, depending on the moment. Plus, a fae loves shiny jewelry.
