Scarborough needs better rapid transit. We need to build the Eglinton East LRT.
Last week we announced the Waterfront East LRT with our Federal and Provincial partners. We’re grateful for the partnership from the Prime Minister, Premier, Federal 416 Caucus and local MPPs. It’ll be transformational.
Now, let’s land a deal for Scarborough. The City is spending millions designing the line right now, so we can hit the ground running and build it. I’m naming it Toronto’s top transit expansion priority. I’ll be working with my provincial and federal counterparts to land a deal to get it built.
Let's reverse years of underinvestment in Scarborough, together. See my motion below for Executive Committee next week on getting this line funded and built for the people of Scarborough and all Torontonians.

@stephenfgordon LPC up about 7 pts from elxn and have lost 7 pts. back to NDP. Our math suggests they've gained about 14 pts. from CPC. Appears to be traditional status quo conservatives uncomfortable with Trump/that form of populism and like Carney. Considerable churn and reconfiguring

The U.S. pays the bills and everyone is happy about it.
In reality, considering the money sent to Israel, Jordan, Egypt, and the cost of U.S. bases in the region, we can say that the U.S. government is the biggest employer in the Middle East. And large part of that is to guarantee Israel’s security.
