Stuff moves fast in Russia, and I've been trained to assume that when there's smoke, there's fire.
But per a team source this morning, nothing happening on the Flyers end with Zavragin "at this point." They usually move in stealth w/these things, though, & things change quick.

@ByJonBailey I don't understand why we have to compare the two. We have two blue chip wingers who could easily become 90+ point scorers in the NHL. Michkov has had a bad season, and still shown flashes of his rookie year. Martone looks great.

Yeah, I actually think Tocchet did a good job with him yesterday, and even last year I felt discipline with the issue. I just don’t think it’s fair to either kid to have shiny new toy syndrome and kind of brush off MM39 leading rookies in goals last yr

Some people are having trouble because they think any criticism of MM means they’re against him or have completely lost faith in him. The truth is, he’s struggled with decision-making, situational play and puck management without enough countervailing production to warrant more ice time. Right now, the coach has to manage the lineup within these games to win, and the organization and the fans deserve that. Over the long haul, Matvei will be fine.
