Okay...*sigh* We're gonna do this again I suppose. The Xbox consoles are not and never were advertised or sold as a subsidized device, but the ads are sure making it feel like one. This feels akin to getting an Amazon Kindle at a discount because its ad supported. Xbox customers are paying for: - The console - Xbox Game Pass - The games they play - The internet service the console uses In return, these paying customers have received full screen ads since last summer for: - Xbox Showcases - Xbox Developer Directs - Forza - Starfield - Call of Duty - Xbox sales If you defend this, I won't ever understand why you do. If you are apathetic to it, I completely understand you and if you're disappointed by it, I'm with you.

You can turn that off. Steam is a free platform. Defending this is silly. Fullscreen ads that you have to click through are good absolutely nowhere. You can't turn these off and they are not relevant to me whatsoever. I paid for the box, I pay a monthly subscription. I pay for my internet, my TV and my electricity. This is a stupid hill to die on IMO.
