Just finished Silent Night Deadly Night 3 & there is no doubt in my mind David Lynch borrowed heavily from it. From its editing, dialogue, surrealism, dissolves & some of the same actors. Surely this not a hot take? Wild..

@NCseventeen @AVARY @DominicHailsto1 My skepticism comes from the fact that no other Kubrick film has the extreme teal look they added & that didn’t even become a style in cinema until the 00s. If SK really intended it, how was he planning on doing it before digital colour correction was ever used on films?

@AVARY @DominicHailsto1 Yea at the end of the day all I can do is give my take but was the Cinematographers call. Was very humbled they reached out. I wonder Kubrick's films on home media are so debated. There is a scene in Shining where the tennis ball is pink. These are major errors. @HighContrast

The bastards are right. The new Criterion EWS is TEAL. TEAL!!! EWS is one of my favourite looking films. I've studied it And seen it projected numerous times The blacks skew red not green. It's a very warm looking film and now that is stolen from us. Stolen I tells ye!!! Apart from that that the criterion looks excellent, lots of grain (yum) and it's very well managed ... All I need to do now is a slight regrade ...
