When treating strokes, every minute matters. Dr. Ken Taguchi is developing technology that brings 3D perfusion imaging directly into the interventional radiology suite, allowing physicians to visualize blood flow in the brain in real time during clot removal procedures. The approach could help doctors determine faster which brain tissue can still be saved. Learn more: hopkinsmedicine.org/news/articles/…

In LVO stroke, volume contracted state (BUN/Cr >20) was associated with higher 90-day mortality, independent of other factors. These findings highlight a potential role for hydration status in stroke survival. By @vsyedavalli doi.org/10.1136/bmjno-…

Thank you @AcadRad for an important “round table” discussion on AI - and on how to support and encourage continued interest in research… especially in early career investigators. Great opening talks including one by @NIBIBgov ‘s director Bruce Tromberg and by Elias Zerhouni

When tracking how a tumor responds to therapy, it’s important for the imaging results to show even the smallest change. Dr. Junyu Chen is developing AI methods that improve how PET/CT and SPECT/CT scans are aligned over time, helping physicians measure treatment response more accurately and calculate precise radiation doses for cancer therapy.
