The #Falcons worked quickly to replace Kaleb McGary, with RT Jawaan Taylor, who was released in a cap-cutting move by the Chiefs. Taylor won a Super Bowl in Kansas City and has 111 career NFL starts. He did struggle with penalties with the Chiefs, but is a good pass protector.

Falcons OT Kaleb McGary announced his retirement today, and on the same day, the Falcons reached agreement with former Chiefs RT Jawaan Taylor.

Falcons and former Chiefs free-agent offensive tackle Jawaan Taylor reached agreement today on a one-year deal with a base value of $5 million and an additional $1 million in incentives, per his agents Drew Rosenhaus and Robert Bailey.

Upon Kaleb McGary's retirement, the #Falcons should receive roughly $14M in salary cap space in both 2026 and 2027. We'll see if Atlanta asks McGary to repay the signing bonus proration for 2026 and 2027, but as it's only $3M total, I doubt it.
