@Hypnotoad_mfer @Y40IFRQTTING If English were to adopt another writing system most of its influence would be over. The actual reason why English is so popular apart from US cultural dominance is the fact that is actually a quite simple language.

By complete coincidence English is one of the few languages where adopting the Chinese writing system would probably work better than the Latin Alphabet, as it happens to have the same analytical monosyllabic morphology and is not phonetically consistent.
