🗞️ According to a report by Reuters on 20 March 2026, QatarEnergy CEO and Energy Minister H.E. Saad Sherida Al Kaabi warned that the Iranian attack on the Ras Laffan liquefied natural gas (LNG) complex could have serious long-term consequences. 👉 As per the report, H.E. Al Kaabi said the damage, including the destruction of critical cooling mechanisms, could affect LNG deliveries to Europe and Asia for up to five years. 👉 H.E. Al Kaabi added that he had no prior warning of the South Pars strike and stressed that production at Ras Laffan can only resume after hostilities end, taking at least three to four months to fully restore operations.
