🤖AI in research is moving fast — and so are the legal & ethical questions around it. On February 25, 2026, our colleagues Matěj Malý and Kateřina Habelová represented IOCB Tech at an all-day seminar at the Pražský inovační institut focused on intellectual property management, AI, and ethics in science & research. Key topics included: ✅ Copyright, patents, and licensing in the context of AI ✅ Data protection and responsible data use ✅ Accountability for AI-generated outcomes ✅ The European AI Act and what it means for research and innovation 💬 “AI is already part of everyday life. It’s built into our phones, computers, and even the browsers we use. In science and translational research, it’s becoming more and more important, but it also raises some fundamental questions: who owns the work an AI produces, how safe our data really is, and what the legal rules are.
