12-year-old Imrain Paktiawal told CBS News' @camiloreports he still has no explanation for how his father, Mohammad Nazeer Paktiawal, died just one day after being taken into ICE custody in Texas. The 41-year-old Afghan immigrant was detained while preparing to take his children to school and died the next day at a Dallas hospital. His family says he was healthy and that he came to the U.S. legally under the Biden administration's Operation Allies Refuge, which welcomed tens of thousands of Afghans it evacuated from Afghanistan following the Taliban takeover. ICE said Paktiawal's parole status expired on Aug. 20, 2025 and that he was detained after two arrests by local authorities on fraud and theft charges. He was not convicted. cbsn.ws/4bze1i1

I reviewed the Heritage Foundation's database of voter fraud cases since the 1980s. They had just 10 examples of undocumented immigrants voting. I know of 2 more. Over decades. Importantly, several would NOT have been impacted by voter ID, as they involved stolen identities.

Incredible. 19 of the 137 Venezuelans whom Trump sent to CECOT under the Alien Enemies Act, & who were swapped back to VZ & then escaped to 3d countries, seek to come back to the US to contest their Tren de Aragua designation—knowing they'll be detained (& God knows what else) by the Trump Admin.
