@ordinarybritt Here’s the issue, ANY player that comes to UT in Kim’s offense has to understand that their minutes will be reduced by 50% or more. This I guarantee you that this Liberty player logged more than 30 min a game. At UT, that number might be 15 min a game.

@jjmaples55 You think those athletes are getting an education? Most will burn up their eligibility and be left with no degree and will burn through any money they make from NIL deals in less than 2 years. Student athletes are actually in a worse position long term now.

@marshallmuse3 She chased money. Kim needed several years to figure out how to run her system at the D1 level. Her lone year at MU her system failed bad against Florida and VTech. UT fans won’t give her the time to figure it out.

I'll always root for Kim. What she did at Marshall was amazing so don't read this as a hate tweet but it's wild to see how different the outcome has been just two years later. Marshall with it's highest win total ever & finished WNIT champs while Kim is in the lockeroom like:

kim caldwell will address the departures. it will be succinct and classy. she won't spend a lot of time talking about those no longer there. she's moved on and focused on recruiting kids who have a blue collar mentality and who'd appreciate the chance to play for the #ladyvols

@JeremyBeakes Its different player personalities to a degree, I think. If she gets 13 players that buy into a full team concept, she’ll win. Just like she always has.

She was in over her head from the start. One successful year in D2 doesn’t translate to the lights & stage of this program. She unraveled mid-season & by her own words, “lost her way.” As soon as players lose faith in the system it just becomes a domino effect. None of the LVs are going to remain at a losing program when they can be playing & starting for great coaches/teams with a chance to make a deep tourney run. Freshman still most of their years they’re not sticking around for some experiment to play out on their behalves. They went into the tournament on an 8 game losing steam—they probably decided weeks or months ago they were leaving on day 1 of the open portal.

@VolsAF Oversold and under delivered. Kim should have stayed at Marshall to figure out how to run her system at the D1 level. Honestly 5 star recruits don’t wanna play 3 minutes then sit for 3 minutes. Her system won’t work at the high D1 level. UT is learning that the hard way.

@TBrown_80 With no guardrails, the portal and NIL, will wreck college sports in the next 10 years. All but a few universities will start cutting programs to pay for the football and men’s BB, beyond that donor fatigue will get real at some point and the $$$s will dry up.

I’ve finally decided to read the entire bible. So far, I’ve read Genesis and Exodus. I’m obviously really interested in reading the Gospels and New Testament. I’m debating skipping ahead to the Gospels. What do you recommend I do: Read the bible from front to back or skip ahead and read the Gospels (or entire New Testament) and then go back to the Old Testament.

As @JayBilas correctly points out, there’s a lot of hypocrisy in college athletics right now. It’s only when athletes begin to get paid that it’s necessary to have a federal law to “save college sports.”
