Years ago I was traveling from Enugu to Awka, missed the last bus, and became the first passenger on the next one, so of course I secured the front window seat. If you know, you know. As the bus filled up, a man came to sit in front with me. When I tried to step out so he could take the middle seat, he refused and told me to move inside because I’m a woman, apparently, a man should sit by the window, not me. I told him I got there first and chose that seat on purpose. That’s when he started shouting about how women don’t respect men anymore. I ignored him, but then he went further, talking nonsense about how a woman who squats to pee can’t challenge a man who stands. At that point, I simply opened my bag, counted money, and paid for the seat. He was the last passenger, so I told him to wait for the next bus and asked the driver to move. The entire bus burst into laughter. As we drove off and he stood there insulting me, I just looked at him and did ntooor 😜. I’ve never felt that satisfied humbling someone. And to think I didn’t even know the word misogyny then, I just knew I wasn’t going to let disrespect slide.

Nigerian women are the bottom barrel in the dating market after Black American women. Bunch of lazy whores who think Nigerian men owe them commitment because they exist. A young man his age doing well for himself should marry the average Nigerian woman who's broke, was raised from a poor home and has been ran through by every man in her neighborhood because she's Nigerian? No woman marries for love. Every woman marries for the sole purpose of what will benefit her but the same women cry foul when men do the same. Which law states men are supposed to marry from their country? With their breast and nyash they often flaunt because that's all they have in their name, what have the majority of them achieved for themselves? This is why I always state my standards so women who don't meet up cry more for failing to meet up to my cut off mark. I'm glad Nigerian men are beginning to try their options outside Nigeria. Soon majority of Nigerian women will be left single and miserable. After all, they believe marriage isn't an achievement. I always tell men, set your standards and be ruthless about it because women won't hesitate to do the same. At the end of the day, always remind them that; IF YOUR STANDARDS SHALL KILL THEM, MAY THEY DIE.

An average Cameroonian would not believe people are paying to stay in a mud house. Because we scarcely see what a mud house looks like when someone actually finishes it properly. This is an Airbnb in Munnar, Kerala. Earth walls. Mud floors. Bamboo ceiling. A shower open to the sky. No imported aesthetic, just local materials taken seriously. The Grassfields has all of this. Earth, timber, bamboo, stone, and a building tradition older than any concrete block we import from China. What we’ve never done is refine it, finish it, and put a price on it.
