Did you know?
There are 2 reasons for celebrating Lag BaOmer🌟.
The Talmud teaches: During the time of Sefirat HaOmer (counting of the Omer)🗓️, a terrible plague struck Rabbi Akiva’s 24,000 students because they did not treat each other with respect🙏. On the 33rd day of the Omer (known as Lag BaOmer), the students stopped dying, causing the day to become one of celebration😃.
Lag BaOmer is also the date of the passing of Rabbi Shimon Bar Yochai (many years following the plague), who revealed many secrets of the Torah💡. Before he passed away, he instructed his students to celebrate the day of his passing as a holiday😃.
Happy Lag BaOmer!🏹🔥
