I kind of like to imagine that Fujimoto gave MAPPA a rough outline of how the story would actually end, and they slipped some subtle references into the trailer. Like Aki and Himeno finally getting together and just goofing around happily, or Denji living a chill life at the very end. Probably not what happened, but it's a nice thought.
