Like, what if DP is just super impressive in training camp. And you don’t get to see it. But he shows he deserves that spot. Does that count?
Or do you have to make him come off the bench first for no reason just so he can “earn it”.

@jdt_91 I get wanting talent. But I just don’t think Kessler for Jaylen is it.
You could try Keyonte for Jaylen if you like that better.

@jdt_91 I dunno man. Jazz need more spacing, not less. And it doesn’t fit goals, roster, or cap space.
Jaylen is older than Lauri. People would immediately want to trade him for not fitting the timeline. Especially if you still have to take time to make additional moves after.

KAT primarily plays center. JJJ is not a center.
Kessler is a pretty important part of the team and provides things that no one else does. Definitely deserves to get paid. If Jazz can get a fair deal worked out for him.

@JakePenrod The Knicks beat the spurs by basically hardly ever putting a center on him. JJJ is more of a center than Kat.
I wouldn’t do the trade fwiw but it makes sense not wanting to pay Kessler

@danclayt0n I also think the “having 6 players for 5 spots” problem just fixes itself. After a while, it will be clearer that one of those players makes more sense as a 6th man off the bench. And then it’s fine.

The Jazz don't need to trade any of the six. Great teams have more than 5 awesome players + it might be a minute before Ace/DP are winning players in the macro sense (although both will be super fun).
Relax. This is what they've been building, it's not a problem to be fixed.

Like maybe Keyonte regresses on shooting and defense and suddenly he’s just sixth man off the bench.
Cool, don’t have to worry about a big payday for him and starters are just DP/Ace/Lauri/JJJ/Walker.
That’s not impossible.

I’m all for lowering fires, but government focusing so much on fireworks instead of the real bigger causes is wild.

With all of the wildfires sprouting up around Utah, I looked at how many wildfires are caused by humans compared to natural causes. Also, are more due to campfires or fireworks, or something else?
