Numerous factors are at play here and I can’t name all of them here for obvious reasons and out of respect as well.
All I’ll say is that studios are to focused on making games more realistic and for everyone that they don’t even work on the essentials like gameplay anymore. Gameplay was ALWAYS the siding factor of any game. It’s fun, we will play but now gameplay is just okay.
They all have the same look and feel about them 2. Nothing is unique anymore and when it comes to that then other things start getting added in so that people can’t make up for the gameplay and even those things are worse.
