I've been struggling with some muscle strain, tightness, and stiffness since Sunday. I think it's finally going away, but I'm still suffering, so I think today might be a stay in bed and read all day kinda day.

Some good news: Since 2024, over 700 independent bookshops have opened. Print book sales have risen in each of the last two years. Denmark and Norway are spending millions to get screens out of schools and bring books back. *This* is what real progress looks like.

I don't know if I'll do reading sprints tonight, but I do plan to read pretty much all day today. I'm already close to finishing Caraval this morning. I don't know if I'll be able to finish The Poet Empress, but I will be reading that after my uni work.

not to be dramatic but reading books, no matter what genre, will ultimately change the way you think about everything and that is so precious to me

1. It hasn't cured cancer 2. If artificial intelligence software does cure cancer, it will not be the LLMs and image generators that that "anti-ai" crowd are complaining about. You know this and are being intentionally obtuse

I got my new ReMarkable tablet, and it's the perfect thing for notes and scripts for videos alongside traking my reading. I'm so happy with it 😌
